Following on from last weeks story about the competition to estimate when the 50,000 post would be made on the new A1 Forums Business Forum, the winner and time of posting has been announced.
Amazingly, the 50,000th post was made within 3 months of the forum starting on 31st May 2008 at 21:31, the member who guessed the closest time was coe114c webmisteress of A one-stop shop for allergy-friendly food.
Predictably, the member who made the 50,000th post was the forums most prolific user, Fuzzy, owner of fuzzydon.com, a website where you can buy funny cards, humorous mugs, amusing mouse mats, and more.

Most popular UK Business Forum
A search on google for Business Forums brings up over 34,000,000 results and there doesn’t seem to be a day go by without somebody setting up yet another one. Most start with a bit of a flourish but within a few weeks posts start to dwindle and users move on.
An exception to this appears to be the new Business Forum started by A1 Forums, it is just entering it’s 4 month of existence and a competition is being held to see who can guess the time and date that the 50,000th post will be made on the forum.
Membership has grown to just under 4,000 due in part to the shrewd acquisition of another popular UK Business Forum UK Small Business Forums and many of their existing members are finding that the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the useful business advice at A1 Business Forum is encouraging them to participate more.
So when will the 50,000th post be made? It currently stands at just over 49,000, get over there now, sign up, and perhaps you could hold the honour of writing the 50,000th post and forever be in the hall of fame at what looks to be the most popular UK business forum.
Avram Grant Sacked by Chelsea
Chelsea have sacked manager Avram Grant.
A statement read: “Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Avram Grant has had his contract as manager terminated. This follows meetings over the last two days.
“Everybody at Chelsea would like to thank Avram for his contribution since taking over as manager last September.
“We will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager for Chelsea and there will be no further comment until that appointment is made.”

Wordpress 2.5.1 not getting indexed by google
I have so far upgraded 2 Wordpress blogs today, made a post afterwards, pinged google, but neither has been indexed in blog search yet.
Prior to upgrading to Wordpress 2.5.1 a new post would be indexed in google blog search within 2 minutes, this is a 3rd upgrade to see if this post gets picked up.
Update: Obviously not a Wordpress problem, this post was picked up within a minute.
