Switched on my PC yesterday, got to the Windows start screen, then nothing else. I managed to start via safe mode, adjusted a few settings but still no joy.

This got me thinking about backing up, something I have been a bit lapse about recently. I spent a few hours sorting out my important folders and transfering  them to some spare webspace, to my laptop, and to a spare PC I use for storage.

In a way, I am glad this PC started playing up, it gave me a reminder about backing up and at least gave me a warning rather than just dieing on me.
