I asked a very simple question on a business forum today

Does anyone here offer free seo reports?

Rather than a simple, “Yes, we provide free SEO reports”  I got a number of replies;

Doubt it

Why would anyone do that?

Proposal/Quote but not report

Send me a link to your site and I will do a report

A reply about how SEO reports are done

I then got a reply implying I was a competitor as though I was asking the question for some other reason

I did get one reply which I responded to by PM but only the 1

It is so frustrating that when you try to ask a simple you get people trying to read something else in to the question.
