Community Computer Care is a locally established social enterprise that is currently based in Porth in the Rhondda Cynon Taff, South Wales and was setup early last year. CCC is dedicated to providing renewable technology solutions to help promote and facilitate reuse and recycling at a cost that is affordable in today''s market. As such we have decided to offer a free recycling service to any who need it. The details are given below. We will collect and remove any requested electrical hardware (pretty much anything that has a plug and is electrical) from any school or organization. We will then use these items for training and the items will be either dismantled for further recycling or rebuilt for further use. Any remaining items will be taken away for ethical recycling by one of our partner organizations. And as such consider ourselves a waste free organization. We follow strict security measures when dealing with any donated data storage mediums systems. Any memory storing devices such as hard drives are securely wiped using the DoD 5220.22-M 3-pass erasure method and then any hard drives that are not useful are taken to be shredded. This will ensure that the data cannot be recovered using any means or method. We will also provide a certificate to this effect as requested. The main items we recycle are: * CRT monitors / TVs * Flat-screen monitors / TVs * Computer towers / computer base units / server units * Laptops * Networking equipment; PSUs / routers / network boxes / etc. * Computer peripherals; printers / scanners / speakers / web cams / etc. * Video / CD / DVD / Blu-Ray players * Game consoles * PDAs / mobile phones / digital cameras * Projectors / electronic whiteboards * USB storage devices / CD / DVD / floppy disks * Phoning equipment / answering machines * Photocopiers * Keyboards / mice * Miscellaneous cabled / adapters * Miscellaneous computer parts * Miscellaneous electrical items If you are interested in using our services then please contact us and advise whether you would like a response via email or phone.
