I offer counselling to individuals - where you can explore in a non judgemental and safe environment whatever is troubling you. Sometimes problems can be difficult to solve on your own, but working through these issues within a caring and confidential space you are able to voice your fears, face you anxieites and feel emotionally supported. This type of acceptance helps you find greater understanding and helps you to move forward confidently. Giving yourself the space to identify what triggers uncomfortable feelings and influences your behaviour can be life changing. Giving yourself this time helps you to become more grounded, to be able to think more clearly and increases your ability to find solutions. I am a qualified counsellor and since 2010 have been an accredited member of the Bristish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I trained as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Studies and an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (2003). I undertake regular continued professional development and attend counselling supervision monthly. I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I charge £35.00 for a 50 minute session and sugggest that initially a commitment to six sessions is made (if appropriate). Currently an introductory rate of counselling is offered whereby a course of six sessions can be pre-booked at £30.00 per session. This can be discussed at an initial free half an hour meeting to establish if counselling is right for you at this time and whether you feel I am the right person to assist you.
