Electrical Installation and Appliance Testing UK Ltd (EIAT) offers a total Electrical Compliance Service from testing to repairs all in accordance with BS7671 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. We are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited and hold Approved Contractor status for NICEIC, Constructionline, Safe Contractor and Chas the main pre-qualification, assessment and consumer protection organisations for our industry.

Fixed Wire Testing, Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), Emergency Lighting Inspection, Thermal Imaging and Schematic Drawing are the services which address all the demands of the relevant standards, regulations and legislation surrounding safety of electricity in the working environment.



The combination of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 define the legal requirements for electrical compliance testing. The legislation clearly applies to all electrical equipment used in, or associated with, places of work.

Our core business is electrical testing, providing comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) in accordance with BS 7671:2008 (2011) and the subsequent remedial work identified during the routine inspection and testing and additional installation work.

Based in west Norfolk, central for all East Anglia and East Midlands, we provide technical safety services throughout the UK and have invested in a new fleet of fully equipped vans for reactive call-out. Supported by our Customer Services Help Desk Team, our dedicated Contract Managers and Technical Team provide a quality, cost effective and sustainable, efficient compliance service solution for all types of business.

All of our engineers are Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS formerly CRB) checked in order for them to be able to work in schools, nurseries, care homes and hospitals. They are City & Guilds qualified; time served electricians who undergo regular on-site assessments with NICEIC Qualifying Supervisors to ensure they are both highly trained and up-to-date with the latest electrical safety regulations for both the domestic and commercial environment The recent innovation of a totally integrated back office database and real time business system has enabled us to comply and integrate with the largest of our client partners.
