The Clever Dog Company Behaviour & Training Practice offers specialist Puppy Socialisation and Training Courses for dogs under the age of 18 weeks using clicker training and kind, gentle methods. We also offer a range of progression courses, one-to-one/private training and home visits. Classes are held at Horton, South Gloucestershire and are instructed by APDT trainers Karen (member 830) and Peter (member 831). Karen is also a COAPE qualified, Companion Animal Behaviour Practitioner and Member of the Institute for Animal Care Education. The Clever Dog Company is at the forefront of treating and preventing behaviour problems in dogs, using a psychological approach to determine the cause of problems rather than simply treating the symptoms. Most of us want our dogs to be well-behaved, happy pets, living sociably and peacefully as a part of our families. Therefore by meeting the family, discussing the pet’s daily routine and observing their behaviour, an assessment and behaviour modification plan can be formulated, using force-free, kind and effective methods which will fit in with the owner’s life-style.
