Currently as part of my honours degree at Strathclyde University, Myself and three others, are working in conjunction with the Sun newspaper and DADA in order to increase the level traffic visiting ticket website itison.com. The project has been arranged by our lecturer in our ''Advances in Marketing Communications'' class and there are a number of groups involved. This project is different from your usual essay writing at university as it has allowed us to become involved in a real-life marketing project. We are currently planning and carrying out different ideas as to how we can reach our main objective which is inevitably to get as many people as possible to visit the itison.com website and sign up using our promotional code (“SU9”). The more people we manage to get signed up, the better chance we have of winning the competition. I am currently looking for a graduate job for next year once I graduate which is not going be easy to get. This competition offers the prize of work experience for me and my group at the offices of the Sun in Glasgow and also a trip to New York for further work experience if we end up being the overall winners which looks to be a tough task... There is a positive vibe surrounding the website. This is because it has real benefits for those who sign up; not only the groups taking part in the competition who have a chance of winning. The website provides subscribers with the opportunity to be invited to events happening in your area, receiving invites based on your personality and interests. It is completely free to sign up and use so if you sign up and find you do not like it, you ultimately don’t have to use it. This is our chance to prove we can compete with others in order to achieve success in the competition. May the best team win.
