Quite simply, the Manx Peg is a spile for use in a real ale cask. The product removes the need for a soft and hard spile and the Manxpeg also acts as a breather allowing just enough clean air into the cask when the ale is pulled. The product comes complete with a filter to ensure that no stale air can enter into the cask allowing the ale to stay fresh for several days (3-4 days approx) longer than a standard spile. The Manxpeg will also allow an extra 2-3 pints to be extracted from the cask (on a standard cask stand) which ultimately ensures less waste on each cask.
