Dragonflies was set up in September 1995 by Lakeside Primary School PTA to meet the demands for good quality out of school playcare. It operates from a purpose-built facility attached to the school. The club Is run by a voluntary management committee made up of parents, who Employ a qualified team of playworkers. During the holidays children can choose from a menu including craft, sport, painting, cooking, reading, drama and group games. We also organise outings as well as inviting specialists to work with the children. We aim to provide a safe friendly environment, offering a wide range of child centered play opportunities to suit the tastes and abilities of all our children. The emphasis is on freedom of choice and we welcome suggestions from the children. Our playworkers are here not only to provide children with physical and creative challenges but also to be sensitive to their social, intellectual and emotional needs. At Dragonflies we have the opportunity to get to know our children as individuals. Our most recent inspection was in August 2007 and our report was excellent, all the care standards were fully met. “The children were seen to be engaged in an excellent variety of developmentally appropriate activities and developing positive relationships with their peers. A good standard of care is provided, in a nurturing atmosphere.” FEES Registration per family: £10.00 Full day (8am- 6pm) £19.50 Half day (8am –1pm) £11.00 (1pm –6pm) £11.00 Fees include all trips, snacks and refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch. To book places, please call in or ring 029 20 767060 between 9.00 am and 12 pm Please note that all fees must be paid on receipt of the invoice. PAYMENT MUST BE SENT WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS OR THE BOOKING WILL BE CANCELLED. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN.
