Commissioning Engineers We are multi-skilled Mechanical and Electrical engineers and can oversee the installation of plant as well as the full commissioning of the electrical and mechanical systems. We are able to FAT test MCC control panels to ensure they meet the relevant standards and conform to the client’s requirements. On site we can test and commission all of the field equipment back to the MCC or PLC. Using the FDS we are able to work alongside the software engineers to ensure control loops and signals function as designed. We provide our own traceable equipment for calibration of pressures, voltages, control loops and any other parameters that are required. We have commissioned a large number of waste and clean water treatment plants throughout the Highlands and Islands and have also worked in the power and marine industries. Electrical Department The electrical department design, manufacture and test low voltage control panels to meet our customer’s requirements. The electrical schematics and panel layouts are produced using AUTOCAD, which gives us the flexibility to design on paper and modify prior to production. All panels are fully tested using our factory acceptance procedures and the assembly leaves us with all of the documentation, which includes operating instructions, manufacturers’ literature and test and calibration sheets. Pump Department We manufacture multi-stage booster pump sets and control them using DOL (direct-on-line) Start/Delta or, more commonly now, inverter technology. The systems are built and fully tested using our test facility that enables us to pump large volumes of water. We can, if required, simulate the true site conditions and measure the inlet and outlet pressures, flow rates and power consumption and provide this information on CD. As the only members in the Highlands of the BPMA (British Pump Manufacturers Association) we are able to obtain the latest innovations, technological advances and European legislation on pumps and systems as well as being able to network with all of the major pump manufacturers and suppliers in the United Kingdom.
