Hellfire Productions Ltd. was born on 8/9/04 with a mission to make an impact on the UK underground music scenes. We wanted to offer a service that was unrivalled by our competitors in terms of quality and rates, allowing unsigned bands to have the same huge sound and treatment as the pros, but at an affordable cost. The city of choice was Birmingham, being the spiritual birthplace of heavy metal and home to a thriving music scene. The original studios were set up in a 300 year old cottage in the black country during 2005, using the latest digital gear and industry standard mics and amps. What really pulled us apart from other studios was our deeper understanding of the music we worked on. Not only did we have the engineering know-how, but we also made better producers being pro musicians ourselves and sharing vast tastes in widespread genres. This meant we could speak everyone''s language in the studio and build stronger rapports with our clients. We quickly developed a reputation by word of mouth that far exceeded the boundaries of the city. Within two years, the quality of the bands was going up, as they were beginning to come from further and further away to get the sound they had been searching for. Bands would regularly venture over from Scotland, Devon, Manchester, Liverpool, Wales, Leeds, York, Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, and London, not to mention all the West Mildlands troopers! The more diverse bands we worked on, the bigger our sound got, and still it gets bigger as the hunger to improve ourselves never stops! In early 2008 we relocated the recording studios to an old metal factory in Digbeth, Central Birmingham, also offering 12 lock-up rehearsal rooms. The recording and mastering facilities are now subterrainean...making us truely one of the sickest underground recording studios around!
