Membership As part of the national partnership of 47 county Wildlife Trusts we work to protect Kent’s native wildlife for future generations to enjoy. The challenges of protecting wildlife in Kent increase each year with new pressures placed on our countryside, habitats and species. We need your help to achieve our vital conservation work. Support can be given by one off donations or joining as an individual, family or corporate member. Education We offer local opportunities to learn and discover more about the wildlife around you. Encouraging everyone to develop a positive relationship with the natural environment. We aim to provide children, young people and adults with an unrivalled range of enjoyable, relevant, high quality learning experiences that promote wildlife conservation and sustainability and enrich their lives. Out of classroom learning either in school grounds or at any of our Visitor Centres is fantastic for providing positive, progressive and participative experiences. Consultancy We have developed an extensive network of links with businesses and local communities, which enables us to play an influential role at local and national levels concerning developments which might affect the wildlife of Kent and Medway. Our conservation department has a team of acknowledged experts in the field of nature conservation, and our work includes taking practical action to help Kent ''s native plants and animals. Our consultancy, Kent Wildlife Consultants, is the obvious choice for individuals, companies and local authorities in Kent and Medway who are looking for an extensive range of nature conservation advice and ecological surveys offered at competitive prices. Planning and Development Planning and built development has a huge impact on Kent''s wildlife and countryside. Kent Wildlife Trust works extensively with planners, developers and decision-makers to ensure development avoids damage to wildlife and wherever possible benefits the natural environment. Reserves Management The reserves teams activities centre on enhancing the wildlife potential of Kent and Medway through a network of high quality reserves.
