SensorCare Systems manufacture and supply a falls prevention system for use in hospitals, community services, nursing homes and the domiciliary market. The SensorCare Falls Prevention System is designed to assist the nurse or carer to keep safe those at risk of falling without the need for constant one to one vigilance. The SensorCare Falls Prevention System gives an early warning that mobilisation is being initiated enabling the nurse or carer to provide assistance, thereby reducing the risk of a fall and subsequent injury. The SensorCare Falls Prevention System comprises of a pressure sensing panel which is located beneath the mattress or chair cushion and a control unit which is placed in a convenient position for the nurse or carer to operate. As the patient vacates the bed or chair the control unit alarms and has the ability to send the signal to a paging system which will alert the nurse or carer. SensorCare allows the care provider the freedom to undertake other duties whilst discreetly monitoring the movement of those most at risk of falling.
