Each playing piece has been completely changed from the old Staunton, to represent modern day conflict around the globe. The goal is to re-introduce chess as a fantastic / exciting game to play for all ages. Ask children today if they would like to learn how to play chess and the answer is " boring " NEXCHESS has been designed to create interest in this game once more. The NEXCHESS set has been manufactured to competition size, ie king now President is 3.5" tall. The pieces are made of poly resin with a stone powder content to give weight.
