Mountain Adventure Camps

Mountain Adventure Camps provide residential summer camps for children and bespoke multi-activity holidays for adults and families high in the Vanoise National Park in the French Alps. Surrounded by a beautiful spruce forest, our center is the perfect location for you or your child to learn, develop skills and reconnect with nature through a multitude of outdoor activities and pursuits such as white water rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking and mountain walking. In addition to this we also provide optional French language lessons. We are located on the edge of the Vanoise National Park in La Tania which is in the French Alps. Our purpose built chalet is surrounded by a spruce forest and the area allows us to offer a unique mix of adventure, freedom and friendship, all delivered in a safe and caring environment. Over a period of 7 days, children have the opportunity to learn a foreign language (English or French) and develop skills through a multitude of outdoor activities and pursuits. A one week camp would normally consist of; - English or French language assessment and a minimum of 12 hours language lessons during the week - An afternoon of outdoor rock climbing - A morning spent skiing or snowboarding on the Tignes Glacier - A 4hr white water rafting trip on the world famous Isere river - Mountain hike with our qualified Mountain Leader through the forest for an overnight camp - An afternoon at an adventure park - Various team building games Included would be; - 6 nights accommodation in our chalet, based on a twin share basis, with bedding and private facilities – 1 of the 6 nights will be spent camping - 3 meals a day, based on 5-a-day philosophy, prepared and served on site by our in house qualified chef - Supervised outdoor activities all led by a qualified member of staff - Full use of up to date and regularly safety checked equipment and camping kit - Admissions and cover charges to 3rd party activities including lift pass and equipment hire on snowboarding/skiing activity - Full evening entertainment program, such as murder mystery or treasure hunt - Full supervision by dedicated Group Leader during 8am and 9pm and Night guard supervision by camp staff between 9pm and 8am - Minimum camper to staff ratio of 4:1 - Complimentary transfer to and from Geneva airport or Moûtiers train station on a shared basis - 1 Mountain Adventure Camps polo shirt - DVD of camp photos With regard to age groups, children are split into 3 groups: 9 - 12, 12 - 14 and 14 - 17
