Counselling provides a safe space and non-judgemental environment in which to explore troubling issues and ways in which to solve specific problems and/or live life more productively. My style is non-directive and client-led, drawing on different approaches where appropriate. Integrative counselling is flexible and aims to tailor treatments towards individual needs and personalities rather than fitting clients into one particular theory. I combine support with sensitive challenge, making a lot of use if exercises, imagery and creative techniques if appropriate. Areas of interest and experience: anxiety, depression, addictions. eating disorders, weight and self-image issues, bereavement, sexual and domestic abuse, relationship problems, general personal growth. Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, currently applying for BACP accreditation.
