From its inception, 4Projects has been focused on delivering its solution utilising the Software as a Service business model. The only requirement to use the solution is access to an Internet Browser. Users have no need for complex software to be installed onto their machines, or to purchase expensive hardware.
At the heart of 4Projects is a relational database, where all information is centrally held. Clients upload information that they wish to share to the extranet, and can automatically inform appropriate collaboration partners that the data is there. In turn, these partners can download the data, amend as appropriate, and then resubmit to the 4Projects solution.
All data is fully version controlled and comprehensively auditable. All clients access the latest version of the information – be that drawings, photographs or any other electronic or scanned document – and the audit trail is recorded for future reference.
Available in many languages, 4Projects support clients’ projects spanning across several continents. Users select their local time zone and language, from a range including French, German, Spanish, Russian and Simplified Chinese. As the name suggests, 4Projects has been specifically developed to support the full lifecycle of a project, from feasibility to planning and design, through the various bid, execute and build phases, and into operation and ongoing monitoring and facilities management.
