Media Academy for Young People

To bring young people from Key Stage 1 to 18 years of age together and to engage in creativity by working with others in partnership to produce a creative media hub for services and service users and the benefit of Young People and the wider Community. Allowing the young person to have a voice in the community by expressing themselves through sound and vision By providing services within the community through creative media and helping young people enhance their all-round holistic development both physically, mentally, intellectually, emotionally and socially through sound and vision. To use the medium of sound and vision as a tool for artistic expression for individuals to freely express themselves within a safe environment To structure programmes of Media Academy to rural, isolated and deprived areas of Lancashire, bringing people out of isolation and into mainstream society To teach each beneficiary disciplines of the Creative Production Industry and its artistic benefits To enhance and encourage morals, principles and values to each individual taking part in the programmes To help Young People from all walks of life develop their interest in the factors of Media who may not have access to mainstream sources of training and to carry out activities for the benefit of the Community. Objectives The objectives of the businesses are to bring together people through Creative Media with tools linked to Sound & Vision. All walks of life should have access to Creative Media no matter what your age or education and the main objective is to allow anyone who has the desire to learn access to the most modern technology. Schools, Colleges and businesses will come together to benefit from a collaborative project planning and the creation of short films.
