I have been practising Reiki for 11 years and am a member and Area Representative of the UK Reiki Federation. I am also a Yoga Therapist having trained with Yoga Scotland, the main teacher-training body in Scotland. Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction and relaxation technique with healing capabilities. The practitioner''s hands are placed gently on or over the head and (fully-clothed) body. The Reiki energy works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Breathing and stress-reducing techniques are given that can be used at home or at work by the client to take control of their own health and well-being. There are many conditions that Reiki can help including angina, anxiety, allergies, arthritis, asthma, back pain, cancer, colds, depression, headaches, heart disease, hbp/lbp, ibs, insomnia, ME, MS, Parkinson''s, postviral fatigue, rheumatism, sciatica, skin problems, stress, strokes, tinnitus etc. I give Reiki treatments from home in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow, and I am an External Therapist at a local Holistic Centre.
