I offer an inexpensive and efficient proofreading and correction service for any written work. I hold a first class degree in modern languages from Durham University, a postgraduate diploma in translation (for which I was awarded a distinction) and I am nearing the end of my PhD studies in linguistics. My proofreading work thus benefits from my very sophisticated linguistic awareness and in-depth knowledge of English grammar, usage and stylistics. I have experience of proofreading a wide variety of texts, including dissertations and essays for undergraduate and masters degrees. I also edited the English translation of a Romanian novel which has been published. Your document is checked three times. Spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence structure are corrected, as are any words which have been used in an inappropriate context. Additionally, I will pay attention to the style and internal coherence of your document and will suggest improvements if necessary. For academic texts I will discuss the referencing conventions you are following with you before making any necessary corrections to referencing and the bibliography. If you wish, I will use of the ‘track changes’ facility in Microsoft Word so you will know precisely what alterations I have made to your document.
