Metonoya is a confidential counseling service offering both in depth - open ended and focused - time-limited counseling/psychotherapy to individuals and focused anger management days for small groups within a central Brighton location. The name metonoya is derived from the word ‘metanoia’ meaning “change in one’s way of life” and from the Greek word metanoein - “to change one’s mind”. The spelling was adapted to metonoya as we believe that the outcome of therapy (metonoya) is equal to the sum of its parts (me to no ya), encapsulating how therapy works. As a service provider we offer understanding and respect, alongside our commitment to supporting you to explore issues that are important to you, supporting you to develop your own awareness and insights into possible solutions through the therapeutic relationship (me to no ya). As a provider of Humanistic Person Centred counseling and psychotherapy we stress the potential value and goodness of human beings and believe that individuals are able to make choices and to change the direction of their life (metanoia).
