Hi my name is Kate and I wanted to take this wonderful opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am an ethical counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have private practices in Cranleigh and Ripley in Surrey. I counsel men and women over the age of 16. My work experience includes alcohol / addiction, abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, trauma, stress and work/relationship issues. I offer general counselling for clients who feel overwhelmed, confused, stuck, or unsure where to turn when an aspect of life is not currently working. I always listen. My hope is that clients leave counselling feeling empowered with a deeper understanding and more self-knowledge of who they are. So why pick me as a counsellor? Firstly I value that it is your unique experience that is important in our therapeutic work. I will understand, respect and accept you. I do not offer advice seeing counselling as an opportunity for you to build on your own resources finding the right answers for you. Secondly, I offer a trusting, safe and confidential environment for you to be heard and able to speak honestly and openly as the real you. Lastly, clients describe me as friendly, easy to talk to and welcoming. I believe it is essential for you to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with. With this in mind I offer the initial 60 minute session at a reduced fee for you to meet me and discuss what it is you would like to gain from counselling and our work together.
